1 1/2 c ap flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp fresh oregano
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
4 tbs canola or vegetable oil
4-6 tbs cold water
kosher salt to taste
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper
Add dry ingredients to stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment
Add oil and mix on low speed until crumbly.
Add cold water 1 tbs at a time, slowing mixing. It should form a semi sticky dough that is moldable with your hands and not too crumbly. If slightly more water is needed use - but a little at a time. Don't over saturate.
Remove from bowl, and form into a loose ball with your hands.
Transfer to a clean floured surface. Roll out to desired thickness. Mine were approx 1/8"
Using a pizza wheel, pasty cutter, or a knife, cut into desired length/shape. For straws cut rectangles about 4=6" in length and lightly twist each one. Transfer gently onto parchment lined baking sheet. If desired sprinkle with additional kosher salt.
Bake for 16-22 minutes until slightly golden brown. Be careful not to burn! Remove from oven and let cool.
